AbstractA study about the risky elevated railway construction industry in a developing country in terms of risk and risk management practice is deemed to be beneficial to stakeholders in elevated railway construction projects. This research comprises of three parts. The first part is identifying the major risk effecting during the construction phase of the elevated railway construction industry in India. The second part is investigating the present risk management practice followed by the team during the construction phase. The third part is understanding the whole concept and scenario and producing fruitful conclusions and recommendations. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how the risk management process used in the elevated rail construction industry and how the practitioners are managing risks in everyday situations. The theory of the risk management process will be compared to the actual practice in order to investigate similarities and differences. In other words, the main idea is to see how the elevated railway construction industry is working with risk management. For further research and study on risk management analysis in elevated rail construction project aim to attain objectives based on this study.
