Abstract | Building Information Modeling (BIM) becomes popularly these days in term of the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries. Thus, many companies try to adopt a BIM with their projects because of BIM may accommodate the functions which are needed to model of the building lifecycle, and providing the basis for new design and construction capabilities. Hence, BIM will change the roles and relationships among a project team. However, there has been a common problem in a traditional methods and Building Information Modeling. When site Engineers are working on a site, they always use 2D drawings to communicate withtheir cooperative working, such as owner, engineer and labors on-site. Therefore, the problems of 2D drawings are difficult to imagination and understand in each perspective, and many lacks in 2D drawings during construction phase. For instant, delay of shop drawing approval, design error and design change. Therefore, those problems are related with labor and equipment, planning and site management, construction method, capability of contractor, and owner scope vision. Consequently, to solve those problems, the application was developed base on Building Information Modeling (BIM) concept as namely that “Cloud-Based Multi-Visualization Function in BIM for Construction Projects. Therefore, the application will generate models in Multi-Visualization Functionsbycombination between BIM 3D model, Augmented Reality and C# scripts to develop the application. Moreover, SketchUp was used for generating a BIM model, and Unity3D was used to design mobile application User Interface which C# scripts were written to control the application functions, such as Simulation, files export, zoom, rotation and move function. Therefore, engineers may able access 3D model with multi visualization functions from their smartphone when they communicate with their cooperative working on-site. As a result, the application able to generate 3D model with multi-virtual 3D model on 2D Drawings and simulation the construction method on-site. Moreover, users may direct access to cloud server by their smartphone. |
