AbstractThis research focuses on the team factors which affect the safety behaviour of the workers. It reviews theory about safety behaviour, team and teamwork. Review shows the important team factors which can be better affect the safety behaviour. Around 30 factors has identified related to team and also 7 components of safety behaviour of workers. After the verification of these factor by 3 experts, questionnaire was developed for the identification of factors. Data was collected from 84 respondents from 32 construction projects through the questionnaire survey. For first objective, 4 groups were identified to represent 18 factors after data analysis by using factor analysis technique. For next objective, regression model was applied to find out the relationship between these 4 identified groups and components of safety behaviour of workers. There were few groups which showed statistically significant relationship with t he safety behaviour components. Similarly, all the 4 identified groups were found to be the significant predictor of overall safety behaviour of the workers. For last objective, 14 significantly critical and 4 most significantly critical team factors were identified, so that by controlling these factors safety behaviour of workers can b e improved.
