Abstract | In today's world, a resort is a popular place that provides not only relaxation and recreation but also beautiful surroundings, high quality services, even facilities to exercise and do other healthy activities. A resort development project, a subcategory of land development projects, often spans decades, requiring a high level of capital investment, and a large parcel of land on which to build a large number of amenities. Consequently, the process required in the luxury resort project is very remarkable. The success of integrated resort project depends on various issue of project management. These include a good planned; for example, a detailed feasibility analysis (e.g., development concept) and an integrated luxury resort project management (showing the project priorities, project culture, project stakeholders, and procurement process as the project management program). Furthermore, properly implemented luxury resorts project, an architectural design that blends into the surrounding natural environment, specialize material, reflecting traditional local designs should be preserved and incorporates into resort wherever feasible, and it needs adequate utility services, such as client's needs. The purpose of this studying on luxury resort development project was conduct to: (l) investigate the relationship between business strategy, project strategy in the luxury resort development project, (2) investigate the existing practice on the luxury resort development process from the view point of the owner and operator and (3) develop a framework for luxury resort development project from the view point of the owner and operator. Moreover, the research was carried out through the project manager of luxury spa resort development project from main tourism destination of Thailand which are Phuket island and Sumai Island. The reliability of the finding is augmented by a confirmatory study with the interviews. The interviews guideline was applied for the purpose of capturing in the spa resort development project; moreover, the reliability of the finding is augmented by a confirmatory study with the interviews. |
