Abstract | Binh Tan and Binh Chanh districts are the Southern West part of Ho Chi Minh City has the fastest economic activities and the largest concentrative groundwater abstraction. From documents of hydrogeology, state of groundwater exploitation, water level monitoring, submerged phenomenon show that the risk of water source exhausted, salinity intrusion are associated with the groundwater abstraction in the study region. This study can focused on the small region in Ho Chi Minh City, which has applied the three-dimensional finite difference numerical Modflow software to study and assess the exploitable capacity of groundwater, to specify the location of pumping well fields in 2030 of the study region. Results of assessment from computer have given to show by modeling in three aquifers. From groundwater exploitation documents in the study region, the research has asserted the water level and quantity of each aquifer in the study area to 2030. The groundwater aquifers drawn down in 2030 will apply the theoretical approach has given the deepest water level drawn down is -20 m, -35m and -40 m and give locations of pumping well fields. |
