AbstractIn recent years, the widespread of wireless network is becoming feasibility, flexibility for people in the modem life; it is deployed in many different environments including universities, offices government, corporations, libraries, and public places. The most main advantages are obtained by wireless network is many capabilities to offer non-wired connectivity for handheld devices (mobile-phones, PDAs and laptops). Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) also bring benefits for mobile remote between nodes at many different positions connect homes and offices to Internet. The well-known deployment of WLANs have provided many network and Internet services to user-end, however, it depends on network security can be gotten some problems to protect user data. In order to information and network services are transmitted over WLANs, this is reasonable to protect and ensure to how communicate between handhold devices. The WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) is the encryption method of data and the 802.11 b standard which proposed for WLANs' security mechanism which is revealed vulnerabilities in encryption algorithm to be very easily cracked by many available tools on Internet. For this reasons, the alternative security mechanisms is some solutions to enhance secure wireless network such as 802.lx authentication, Socket Secure Layer (SSL), LEAP of Cisco, Virtual Private Network (VPN), and the new 802.lli standard which offered the new encryption methods for network to improve secure WLAN. In this research, the alternative solutions will approach new security technologies for WLAN, and the particular vulnerabilities of different protocols to provide the alternative security solutions for mechanisms which can be applied to defend and to build WLAN. At the end, this research deploys WLAN higher level security via the alternative security of solutions. The design and analysis results of security technologies for WLAN are demonstrated that can apply to deploy a secure WLAN ofTVU.
