Abstract | This is a fundamental study about applying Thailand personal income tax laws into an expert system. The approach can be separated into two main processes:tax computation and tax suggestion. The tax computation is computed the amount of tax must pay by following the regulations stated in the tax laws. For tax suggestion process, it provides the recommendations based on the tax laws to reduce amount tax pay. The system used Java language to develop the program user interface and used JBoss drools to develop the inference engine. In addition, some investments are capable to reduce amount of tax.This research study includes three types of investments; deposit money in a bank, mutual fund, and immovable property.These investments are also included into the suggestion process. For further improvement of the system, the updated tax laws are needed as the laws frequently change when the government declares the revenue policy. With this change, the data acquisition module needed to develop in the future for easily input new knowledge. |
