| Abstract | The world has changed. Not so long ago infonnation was provided for business. Today the infonnation is the business. Between the beginning of May and early September 2008 an internship was conducted at Company X in the Netherlands. Through Company X's strategy to increase its sustainability it recently acquired several companies. In a Business Analyst position the assignment was a retrospective analyses of the integration process around the closed loop marketing and CRM-system of five of these companies. The internship was accomplished in a remote team within the Technology Solutions Group. This report contains three parts; the company analysis, a report on the assignment, and the management learning experience. In the first part of this report an overview of Company X and the Technology Solutions Group is given. Secondly, an overview of the work undertaken during the internship, is described. It included the work which has been done, the reason for doing the project, the methodology, and the outcomes. In the 'Management learning experience', my personal experience about obtaining a position, my experience at Company X, and my future career plans are described. |
