AbstractMyanmar has an arterial road network of over 25000 km, and urban road network total more than 40000 km and it is one of the developing countries in Southeast Asia. Myanmar transportation is heavily depending on the road network. So, the government gives guidance to implement the modernized and safety road network that can be fulfilled the rise of traffic volume onroad.The purpose of this paper is to study and analyze the existing practice of construction technologies in Myanmar and to enlighten from the wrong sense of management methods.The Padan-Ngape-Sidoktaya-Laungshe-Tigone-Saw Road is 111.875 miles long that connects the Chin Region, the north portion of Myanmar and the Magway Region, the south portion of Myanmar. Chin Region is in difficult in transportation; therefore there is the weak in the development of intellectual and socio-economic situations. Afterconstructed this road, the thirty-five number of villages and connect easily with the townships and cities, and not only the situations of health, social and economic but also the living standards can also be raised. Because of this road, the trading of goods and rice can easily be bartered with the Magway Regions.The overview of the working procedures, techniques and management methodology that applying nowadays in Myanmar are presented and discussed the problems that occurred in project implementation. Furthermore, the quality management and control problems which encountered during construction period are solved only by the use of experience base solving methods. Instead of applying international management system, using traditional ways, the programs are found unsystematic, hard to monitor and control and lack of quality control policies weak to control the quality.Moreover, the strength and weakness points of the project are summarized and proposed the corrective framework for the future project implementation. Comparing with the actual process, hope this proposed paper and framework will work effectivelyand efficiently for the future construction management system of Myanmar.
