AbstractSince Vietnam's economy began to open, along with the development of economy, construction industry also flourished, bringing new opportunities and also many difficulties and challenges. In the 1990s, the construction quality management, project management have not been properly recognized. Each agency or economic units conducted their own way. However, from 2003, the project management was truly recognized and more concerned. The project management consultant also began participating in the construction market in Vietnam. In Vietnam, due to the relationship and economic interests overlap very complex business, it affects a lot to the project management in th e construction project. The projects behind schedule, exceeding the estimate is very popular, the management of projects encountered many difficulties, especially on contract management. Previously in Vietnam does not have specific provisions on contracts, the enterpri ses themselves to follow their own way. Since 2002, the government issued regulations on th e types of households in the construction contract, but have not had a specific, clear and has many shortcomings. At this point, the role of the project management consultant is very important, they help investors to closely manage contractors and suppliers through cont racts. With the non-state investors, they began to demand using FIDIC based contracts a nd this is quite favorable for the project, contract management. However, with the owner of state enterprises continue to comply with the type of contract provisions in the legislation should face many obstacles when implementing the project. By 2015, the Government has the latest regula tions on the types of construction contracts, these contracts are based FIDIC contracts and with additional, adjustable to suit conditions Health in Vietnam. The legislation also provides for very clear and strict about the capacity, authority and responsibility of project mana gement consultancy. The consultant project manager will have to organize and arrange the appropriate personnel for each project (by size, type of project ...) to fulfill their re sponsibilities at the request of Investor. In contract management, three core points make up 1 triangles are: quality - progress - cost. Management consulting project management c ontractors by contract to ensure that the project should be completed with the least ch ange of the triangle there. A project is considered successful if: ensuring quality as required, ensuring project completion time schedule has been approved and the cost does not exceed the budget. In this essay, are pleased to discuss control contracts in construction investment projects and strategic control of the PMC contract in projects with several contractors with contracts signed directly with investors. Analysis of th e advantages and disadvantages of the project implementation process, which could offer less ons for similar projects, contract control method for other projects in the Vietnamese construction market.
