AbstractVietnam Construction businesses are beginning to face a fiercely competitive market when Vietnam's open and call upon on foreign investors to invest in the construction of industrial factory. If companies do not have strategy and clear ly orientation is difficult to survive and win in this competition. The company needs to determine their current position to know where they are standing, and must determine what are their strengths and weaknesses so that is what continues to promote strengths and overcome category remove weaknesses. And to achieve business efficiency, Company not only measures of resource utilization efficiency inside but also regularly analyze and assess the activities, technologies, construction procedures, equipment of their own, thereby detecting and managing capacity improve , project development and their competitiveness. Construction industry is considered as economic activities that play essential r ole in accomplishing socio economic goals of any country. But the construction industry of Vietnam has shown a continuous evolution since a few years ago. The industry is one of the rapidly developing industry. However the typical problems that this indust ry has been facing for years are poor performance, project delay and cost overrun . Lack of key creative ideas, out -dated standards and poor construction technology, communication gap among project team members are the major drawbacks that leads the project towards delay and cost overrun. To overcome such critical problems and shorten the construction period, fast track has been introduced as a tool for cost reduction within construction industry in a developing country like Viet nam. It is a proven method that has been already applied in various developed and developing countries. This is a method that not only reduces the project cost but also make profit while fast delivery and enhances the quality of the project. So this dissertation presents the essential fundamental of Value Engineering and its different phases that have been applied in projects to reduce the construction period without compromising quality . This research discusses about factory construction projects in fast track delivery strategy. The alternatives of fast track chosen s uch that the cost is may reduce with increase the value of the project. Since the main objective of this research is to investigate the fast track application in th e construction industry of Viet nam . During the data collection process of project, construction system are identified through the project manager interview and then fast track methodology is applied on this Textile Factory Project. Then detail analysis of data has been done to implement the construction process application in construction phase. After detail analysis, it was found that this method is very much suitable f or some factory project in Viet nam and quite beneficial for the investor and main contractor involved in this industry. This investigation findin g reflects that this method has high potential to increase the profitability of the project, but in order to apply this method commitment supporting from the Investor and top management level of main contractor is required first and then highly experience d implement team
