Abstract | In order to meet the needs of a growing movement of people as well as improving the traffic situation of the city. Ho Chi Minh city is implementing a new mode of public passenger transport which is called Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in parallel with other project such as Metro Rail Transit ( MRT). The BRT has been successfully operated in many cities around the world such as Istanbul (Turkey), Jakarta (Indonesia), Cebu (Philipines), Guangzhou (China), Bogota ( Colombia). The BRT system can carry a large amount of passenger and it uses compact natural gas (CNG) which is friendly with enviroment, therefore it derives high expectation of dwellers. This case study provides a financial aspect of project based on the review of economic - financial effectiveness in previous phase in order to re - evaluation combined with theory learned. In addition, it provides a financial perspective for infrastructure projects in view of economic success rather than financial investment. |
