AbstractThe construction industry is one of the major industries in terms of both size impact s . It is considered not as a single industry but one where several market sectors integrate to form the industry. Indeed, there is no obvious agreement on the classification of construction sectors or on how the industry can be broken do wn into different categories. Construction plays a significant role in the overall economy of both developed and developing countries in terms of economic growth. Its various activities and related projects also have a great impact on different key factors of a country‘s overall development aspects. Therefore, it is essential for construction activities to be accomplished successfully in an effective and efficient way. This requires various strategic and management capabilities. Challenges and difficulties of managing construction project increases when the context is related to a renovation project. A renovation project is defined as a process of restoring or improving a built structure that includes modifications, conversion or phased complete replacement . Being a large part of the construction industry, building renovation is becoming an important sector in most cities. In Hanoi city, there is a massive number of old buildings need to be renovated every year. Renovation projects are considered to be more complex, uncertain and risky than new building. Due to that reason, it needs to be managed differently. Integrated and efficient process is critical to renovation projects‘ success. The main objectives of this thesis are to identify that contribute to unce rtainty in renovation process and to show how they impact management process for the government buildings. The thesis also analyzes strengths, weakness and suggests a practical framework in order to achieve the highest efficiency and success for the multip le renovation projects of government building.
