AbstractA public – private partnership ( PPP ) is a government service or private business venture which is funded and operated through a partnership of government and one or more private sector companies. These schemes are popular in Korea. Vietnam Governme nt intends to promote PPP project due to not enough government finance. PPP involves a contract between a public sector authority and a private party, in which the private party provides a public service or project and assumes substantial financial, technical and operational risk in the project. However, in each country, this scheme has a different way to develop. With a focus on case studies approach to the PPP projects, this stu dy has a clearer view about developments of PPP in Vietnam and Korea.
