AbstractRisks have a significant impact on a construction project’s performance in terms of cost, time and qual ity. As the size and complexity of the projects have increased, an ability to manage risks throughout the construction process has become a central element preventing unwanted consequences. The overall aim of this research is to increase the understanding of risk management in the embankment construction project. The report introduced the theo ry of Risk Management Processes, the benefit of risk control and the Framework to manage construction risks from Theory. Th e case study will analysis the applicatio n of theory to practice, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of risk control in the Nga Bay River Embankment project. Based on the findings, some recommendations and framework for more effective risk management in Embankment project . Deeper understan ding is expected to contribute to a more effective risk management and, therefore, that will give a better project value for all project parties in the future.
